Terms of Use — Checkout Required

Welcome to Checkout Required ("the Community," "we," "us"), operated by Digital Commerce Corporation ("Digital Commerce," and together with its affiliates and brands, including DigiCom, the "Company"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using checkoutrequired.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who this is for
Checkout Required is a professional community for DTC founders, operators, and marketers. You must be 18 or older and using the Service in a professional capacity. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile.
2. Your account
Keep your credentials secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. One account per person. Accounts registered with false identities, or names that impersonate the Company or others, may be renamed, suspended, or removed.
3. House rules
This room works because of what it keeps out. You agree not to:
- Pitch, solicit, or prospect members without their invitation. This is a peer community, not a lead list.
- Scrape, harvest, export, or bulk-collect member information, content, or any part of the Service, by any means, manual or automated.
- Post unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harassing content, or content you don't have the right to share.
- Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or membership gates.
- Misrepresent your identity, company, or metrics.
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion to protect the Community, with or without notice. Removed content is retired from view but may be retained in our systems for moderation, safety, and legal purposes.
4. Your content and our license
You own what you post. By posting content to the Service (including posts, comments, profile information, job listings, event content, and introductions), you grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, publicly display, and distribute that content in connection with operating, promoting, and marketing the Service and the Company's brands, in any media now known or later developed. This includes, for example, featuring posts or excerpts (with attribution to your display name) on our websites, social channels, newsletters, decks, and advertising.
This license survives account closure for content already used or shared. If you'd like a specific piece of your content excluded from future promotional use, email info@digicom.io and we'll honor reasonable requests prospectively.
What this license never covers: the content of your private direct messages. We do not read them, and we will never use them in marketing. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Communications
By creating an account or subscribing, you consent to receive communications from the Company, including transactional emails (replies, connection requests, messages, moderation notices), the Checkout Required newsletter (delivered via our email partners), and marketing communications from the Company and its affiliated brands. Every non-essential email includes unsubscribe controls, and per-type controls live in your account settings.
6. Jobs, events, and third-party links
Job listings and event registrations link to external sites controlled by their posters or providers (e.g., application pages, Luma). We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party sites, employers, or event hosts. Job applications happen entirely off-platform; we collect no application materials.
7. Membership and availability
The Service is currently free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and may introduce paid features in the future (never retroactively charging for what was free). The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater. Content posted by members is theirs, not ours; we don't verify member claims or metrics, and nothing on the Service is professional, financial, or legal advice.
9. Indemnity
You'll indemnify the Company against claims arising from your content, your conduct on the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Copyright (DMCA)
Notices of claimed infringement go to info@digicom.io with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). We may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the Community. Sections 4, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the Service or by email, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
